Mia Stremcha - President

Mia is the mother of two boys attending North Lake School. She has a degree in psychology, but prefers the sometimes hectic life of being a stay-at-home parent to her busy children. Mia runs the Scholastic Book Fairs, volunteers for school functions and enjoys helping the school any way she can. In her free time, she can be found spending quality time with her family and cheering from the sidelines during her children's soccer, basketball, volleyball and football games.

Kellyn Bleck - Vice President

Kellyn Bleck is the mother of two sons and a daughter at North Lake School. She was raised in Hartland and is grateful for the opportunity to raise her children here as well. Currently a stay-at-home mom with her own cleaning business, but before kids, worked for US Bancorp Fund Services and graduated from UW La Crosse with a degree in finance and accounting. Kellyn enjoys volunteering for the Community and Fellowship Committee and is currently the Treasurer on the board for Lake Country Kindergarten Preschool.
She is looking forward to being of more value to North Lake School serving on the NLEF board going forward. In her free time, she spends it with her husband, kids and chocolate lab playing sports, fishing, hunting, being up north and just enjoying the outdoors!

Katie Sayers - Treasurer

Katie moved to North Lake in April, 2022.  Her husband, Ryan is from Hartland and he knew she was going to love raising their son Leo in North Lake and living in a small town.  Katie stayed home with Leo until he started kindergarten.  That is when she started working part-time for her childhood friend at her insurance agency.  She has a bachelor’s degree in human services and is excited to put her education in nonprofit management to work!  A lot of the Sayers’ free time currently goes into fixing up their 100-year-old home.  They enjoy the challenge of doing most of the projects themselves.  Wave hello if you see the three of them skateboarding through town headed to the library or to dinner at Woody’s.

Megan is a North Lake School alumni who currently has a son open enrolled in the 4th grade, and is in fact a 4th generation NLS student himself.  Megan attended the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities, before settling back in the Lake Country area where she had an almost two decade long career in sales with American Family Insurance.  After her son was born she left the insurance industry to be a stay-at-home parent.  She served on the Lake Country Kindergarten board for 2 years and today you will find her involved in many areas of our community. She has been the chairperson of our Community & Fellowship Committee since 2020, she volunteers with the North Lake Rec Club to help with park clean up, little league game concessions and also plans & coordinates NLRC events such as as Harvest Fest, Community Night and Art in the Park.  Megan is currently employed at Lang Group Construction right here in North Lake and in her free time she enjoys spending time with her family, pickleball, tennis, fishing, photography and being up north on the lake.

Liesl Ackley - Superintendent of Schools

I am proud to serve as the superintendent and principal of North Lake School. I call North Lake School "my home away from home" and continue to build relationships with our families.   I am thrilled that our great K-8 has its very own education foundation to support the students and staff for many years to come.  I currently serve as the scholarship chairperson for Saint Teresa of Calcutta Parish and am actively involved in our North Lake School Community.  Outside of school, I like to spend time with families in the outdoors: swimming, sailing, and downhill skiing.
